Responses to Django on a Horse
From the moment of the opening scene when Schultz frees Django and
provides him a horse, every person - white or black - who sees Django
throughout the rest of the film is in utter disbelief of he is seeing.
Schultz and Django travel into towns and up to plantation entrances, and
every reaction is that of dumbfounded staring. Schultz can't figure out
what the issue is, and Django explains, "They ain't never seen a n*****
on a horse."
